My name is Jagsharan Singh Mahal, a lawyer with a passion that affordable access to justice. I have served as duty counsel, acted for low- and no-income clients through Legal Aid Alberta and ECLC, Edmonton. I believe all jobs are equal and I take pride in sharing that I started my life in Canada as a cleaning worker, then as a driver, yet always working towards my goal to get my qualification as a lawyer recognized in Canada. I am glad people gave me a hand up in my journey to become a lawyer and I love giving back to the community. Not only by helping the least fortunate with the law, but I also volunteer throughout the community. I came to Canada in December 2008 and I now have a lovely wife, one cute daughter, and two naughty sons. I want to make sure my children and everyone enjoys the same opportunities I was given.
